I’m a 45-year-old based in Dubai who wanted a thorough full-body health screening before a big work phase. I chose a comprehensive checkup in Guangzhou.
What I did
I chose a Grade III-A hospital with an international medical checkup center and booked a comprehensive executive package.
What it involved
- One day on site — fasting in the morning, then the tests.
- Blood work, imaging (CT + ultrasound), ECG, and cancer markers.
- Results — I got a written report, and the hospital offered an English version.
- A short review with a doctor to go over the findings.
Cost and communication
The whole thing cost well under the comparable full-body packages I’d seen in the Gulf. The international center handled the English communication, and the one-day format was efficient.
What I’d tell others
- Fast before the visit (for the blood work).
- Ask for an English report and a doctor’s review.
- Follow up on any abnormal results.
- It’s a great way to baseline your health, especially before a demanding period.
